Fluxys, North Sea Port and ArcelorMittal receive EU funding for Ghent Carbon Hub: a CO2 terminal and CO2 pipeline network as an important step for a carbon-free Belgium
On 8 December 2022, the European Commission announced a grant to Fluxys Belgium, North Sea Port and ArcelorMittal Belgium of 9.6 million euros for research on a CO2 terminal in Ghent combined with a CO2 pipeline network to Wallonia.

Danish shipping company DFDS extends green corridor in Europe with first all-electric truck in North Sea Port
Denmark's DFDS is taking delivery of 125 all-electric trucks. The first of these e-trucks rolled off the ship into DFDS' terminal in Ghent on Thursday 16 November. This brings the green corridor between Scandinavia and Europe one step closer, with North Sea Port playing a central role.

Gasunie and Fluxys join forces to link Dutch and Belgian hydrogen networks in North Sea Port
Within about four years, hydrogen will be flowing between the two countries through a pipeline in the cross-border North Sea Port area. Gasunie, Fluxys and the port are joining forces to connect the Dutch and Belgian hydrogen networks in the port area.

Sweden-Belgium Green Shipping Corridor expands ambition for the world's first green ammonia shipping corridor and welcomes new partner
By 2030, two ammonia-fuelled ro-ro vessels of DFDS are expected to operate on the routes between Sweden and Belgium. Potentially it is the world's first green ammonia shipping corridor for freight vessels. North Sea Port is part of this shipping route.
