A branch towards Antwerp can be made in the railway line coming from Vlissingen. Not only will this allow us to create a better connection between Vlissingen and Antwerp, it will also help us to achieve the sustainability ambitions of the modal shift by increasing the share of railway transport to 15 percent by 2020. North Sea Port is the initiator with regard to the development of this rail connection – the so-called Ve-Za bend.
Vlissingen-Antwerp railway line
North Sea Port is highly committed to improving access to the port area by train. Improving cargo transport from Vlissingen to Antwerp may contribute to this.
