Shore power

North Sea Port offers various services throughout the port area to make a ship’s stay in the ports as comfortable as possible. This includes the availability of shore power facilities in various locations.

Do you operate a vessel powered by shore power as an inland skipper? If so, from July 1st, 2024 it will be mandatory to dock at berths with shore power and plug in. In this way, North Sea Port wants to reduce emissions as well as dust and noise pollution.

North Sea Port is committed to improving the air quality in the port as well as reducing greenhouse gases and noise pollution. Among other things, a lot has been invested in shore power facilities in recent years. The primary focus here is ease-of-use for shipping.

Various shore power boxes are currently available at North Sea Port. The shore power facilities are provided by North Sea Port and Parkline. For all practical information, to register and for an overview of the shore power boxes, you can visit the Parkline website directly.
