Access World Terminals expands premises and activities in North Sea Port
The newly occupied area adjoins the company's existing site, bringing the total area to 13 hectares.
This expansion will give the company improved maritime access. In addition, it will increase the storage capacity for ferrous alloys, required for the diversification of goods related to ferrous alloys and for the corresponding handling of the goods.
New quay and warehouses
North Sea Port will build a 290-metre quay on the site at Kaloothaven dock in 2020. Construction will take about a year and a half. The quay will be accessible to ships with a draught of 13 metres. The cost of this investment will be EUR 10 million.
Access World Terminals is investing in new warehouses covering an area of 25,000 m². The warehouses will be built in several phases. Phase 1 will be completed by the end of 2020.
